4/10 Making Test Foods PCR Reactions

Today, we used the DNA we had earlier extracted from our five cereal test foods for our 6 PCR reactions. Reactions 1-5 contained 18μL of positive MM, 5μL of the respective cereal DNA, and 2μL of Dr. Todd’s GMO primers. The sixth reaction contained 18μL of positive MM, 5μL of the the positive control DNA, and 2μL of Dr. Todd’s GMO primers. We loaded our 6 PCR tubes into the PCR machine and are running it to get the results in class tomorrow when we run our agarose gel.
