Today we ran a gel on our PCR samples that were made yesterday. A 0.7% agarose gel was prepared, and the 6 samples were loaded. The samples loaded were 24μl, with 20μl being from the PCR and 4μl of that being 6x loading dye. 10μl of the marker was loading in lane 1, lane 2 was skipped and then lane 3-8 contained the positive control and then sample A-E. Sample A-E were the DNA samples of the 5 cereals. It was noted that the dye looked a little suspect, so hopefully, good results will be obtained.
